Our emotions, mental health, breath and body are all connected. When we practice in a yoga session we stretch and move our body. But we also improve our mental health and emotional wellbeing. This is why I love yoga - and ayurveda (yoga’s sister science).

Hearts Open - backbends... moving into wheel
Monday 10 February 6pm-7pm on Zoom via the Online Yoga studio only
A focused class on moving into deeper backbends and journeying to wheel/dhanurasana. You might not get into the full wheel but we are preparing with options to practice wheel variations (or alternatives).
I will instruct using two blocks (not necessary but good to have anyway) and a belt (or scarf), a wall/door space and a chair/sofa/table (or even wall).

Saturday 22nd of Feb 2:30-4:30pm via Zoom
We continue the theme of connecting to our energetic and spiritual heart.
Yoga isn’t just about the physical. Although we will enjoy a flow of poses/asana, the poses and flow will have the intention of connecting to our hearts - Our spiritual and energetic heart that so many spiritual texts and teachings share.
Calming an anxious heart. Opening a closed heart. And drinking the nectar to nourish us and our hearts.

Yoga, ayurveda and the nervous system. A Yoga flow and breath session

Inspired by the wisdom of yoga and ayurveda we will nourish and regulate our nervous system.
We explore the five elements, the five senses and how to connect this to our yoga practice, breath awareness/pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra.
